112th Brigade
of Croatian army, Zadar
History:
Order for forming 112. Brigade ZNG was issued June 28th, 1991. Despite lack of equipment, weapons and ammunitions on July 2nd by command of General Martin Å pegelj brigade takes defensive position around Maslenica bridge. On July 3rd brigade headquarters informs ZNG command that in the area of Zadar and Biograd, 112th Brigade ZNG has been officially formed.
Marko ÄŒulina was named for brigade commander. Brigade had four battalions and one active company and was responsible for Zadar, Pag, Obrovac, Benkovac and Biograd districts.
Attack on village of Kruševo has offically opened Zadar front, Kruševo is defended by one company of 112th Brigade and members of 4th Brigade. Kruševo was reachable only by sea so fishing boats from Novigrad are mobilized and factory SAS donates ten ships.
In September new attacks start on Jasenice and Kruševo, on 3rd artillery attack was made on Maslenica bridge.

To ease pressure on 112th Bde, 134th Brigade was formed from Stankovac-Benkovac battalion and Biograd battalion.
159th Brigade, third Zadar brigade was formed and took over 4th Battalion, 155mm howitzers and mortars unit from 112th Brigade. Maslenica battalion was added to 112th.
