9th Knin Corps

of Yugoslav People's Army, Knin

History

Carried out Operation Coastline 91 (Obala '91), although it has succeed in capturing much of interior of Dalmatia it failed in objective to cut off southern Croatia and capture of cities it attacked Zadar and Sibenik. Corps did manage to capture and blow up Maslenica bridge but failed to take Pag bridge allowing for supplies and reinforcements to arrive via that route.

Corps biggest problem was the fact that majority of its mobilization base were Croats and was forced to relay on sparsely populated interior of Dalmatia which had significant Serbian population but this could hardly make up for the loss.
