Ignacije Chodor (Hodor)

Biography

Father Czech, mother Croatian.

Charged with treason and sentenced to death by Partisan Military court on Hvar island on 17 November 1943 after loss of Mali and Veliki Drvenik islands to Germans.

Post war research exonerated Chodor of the charges made against him and trail is considered to be more of a warning to other island commanders to defended to the last man.
