Dragutin Golik 'Zmija' (Snake)

Biography:
Born on 19 April 1953 in Zagreb. Father Stanislav 'Stanko', mother Zlata, had four sisters (Duska, ?). Before the war worked in Koncar as turner.
Joined Ministry of Interior reserve police in June 1991. Participated in Operation Flash.
On 7 October 2005 together with another war veteran Rikard Ilijaš Riki attempted to stop bank robbers barehanded and suffered gunshot which hit aorta, blood loss damaged his brain leaving him in coma. While he was in coma his mother and one sister have passed away.
Dragutin Golik died on 26 January at age 53, two week before his death his weight was only 35 kilograms.
Proposition to award Golik with Order of Croatian Trefoil was submitted by Ministry of Interior but this has yet to enter procedure.
