Biography
Major Huot approved plan of captain Hans V. Tofte and Lt. Robert S. Thompson which later become operation AUDREY.
Meet with 8th Corps commander Pavle Ilić and on his own initiative Huot traveled all the way to Tito's headquarters in Jajce without approval of Fitzroy Maclean.
Hout was recalled to London were he wrote his book 'Guns for Tito' which had to wait end of the war before publishing. He become head of psychological warfare in George Patton's Third Army where he meet his fellow journalist Leon Edel 'Doc' who was in Third Mobile Broadcasting Company.
Landing in Normandy four weeks after D-Day, when attempting to move into one of the country mansion Huot had encounter with one-star general who told him that general Eisenhower orders explicitly forbid such actions.
Arriving in Rennes, major Huot organized official celebration in the city square.
