Biography

Vjekoslav Klisanic was born in Bjelovar in 1897.

Before war he was lieutenant-colonel JV, in 1941 he joined Croatian Home Defense and become commander of 6th Home Defense Division in Mostar. Defected to partisans in 1943 and was assigned to staff duties in General Staff of People's Liberation Army of Croatia (NOVH) and Supreme Headquarters of NOVJ.

After war he become section chief in General Staff of YPA, Chief of military geography at Military Academy of YPA. His active service in Yugoslav People's Army ended in 1958.
