Biography
Born on 2 December 1899 in Zagorje (Slovenia). Roman Catholic. Lived in Zagreb.

Served in royal Yugoslav army. After April war, although he was Slovene national, sent request to join Croatian Home Defense which was granted.
HoÄevar become part of Yugoslav Partisans spy ring around Melita Tomić which was discovered and on 9 June 1944 he was sentenced to death by firing squad which was carried out at 6:00 on 11 June.
Together with HoÄevar other members of the group were shot Melita Tomić, Marija Anić-IvÄić, Marijan Žmavec, Josip Spaić and Franjo Felle. Karlo RadoniÄić and Mladen Angeli got sentences commuted to life imprisonment by poglavnik Ante Pavelić.
