Zvonimir Zvonko Vuckovic 'Feliks'

Biography
As Lieutenant on 15th March 1941 in protest because of Kingdom of Yugoslavia's signing of Tripartite pact, Vuckovic together with two other officers escaped to Greece to fight Italians and was officially declared deserter. After 27th March he returned just in time bombing and capitulation. Afterwards he joined Dragoljub Draza Mihailovic and his Yugoslav army in Fatherland (better known as Draza's Chetniks and Ravna Gora movement) and fact is he become Draza's right hand with Draza leaving Vuckovic in charge of Serbia when he went to Bosnia first time following Tito.
Vuckovic's First Ravna Gora Corps organized evacuation of some 500 allied airmen's (crews of shot down USAAF bombers and there RAF fighter pilots) from improvised airfield in village Pranjni during operation Halyard.
As corps commander he was removed by right wingers in Ravna Gora movement charging him for being soft towards Croats and was sent to Italy.
Most dangerous situation he found himself was after arrival by plane to Bari, Italy, when British accidentally drove him in front of Partisan (NOVJ) military mission HQ. Because of British uniforms guards were wearing he didn't notice red stars on there caps immediately. Guards with standard curses grabbed there rifles but Vuckovic managed to escape down the crowded street thanking God that guards were Dalmatians instead of Montenegrins or some other which wouldn't mind shooting down the crowded street.
Zvonko stayed in emigration after the war.
