Description

1848 is free turn based strategy computer game based on Hungarian revolution 1848-49 made by Hungarian company Hussar Games. Player has choice between several scenarios and both sides Hungarian or Austrian Hapsburg (supported by Croats, Serbs, Slovaks and Romanians troops) with optional historical reinforcement of Poles for Hungarian and Russians for Hapsburg.

Why is this cool game free? The game was sponsored by the Hungarian Ministry of Education and the Hungarian version was released for the anniversary of 1848 in March 2005. Hussar Games has released English version for free to promote there next game For Independence.
