The Illyrian Provinces

The Illyrian Provinces were divided into 6 civilian and one military province. Capital city was Ljubljana. The Governor of these provinces was General August Marmont. The provinces were:

I. Carinthia (Koroška)

Capital: Lienz

II. Istria (Istra)

Capital: Trieste

Centers of districts: Gorica, Koper, Rovinj

III. Carniolla (Kranjska)

Capital: Villach

Centers of districts: Kranj, Novo Mesto, Postojna

IV. Civil Croatia (Civilna Hrvatska)

Capital: Karlovac

Centers of district: Rijeka

V. Military Croatia (Vojna Hrvatska)

Centre of district: Senj

VI. Dalmatia (Dalmacija)

Capital: Zadar

Centers of districts: Makarska, Split, Šibenik

VII. Dubrovnik and Kotor

Capital: Dubrovnik

Centre of district: Kotor
