History

Brigade entered Vlasenica without resistance surprising local Partisans.

This caused panic with staff of Yugoslav 2nd Army which immediately sent three division (27th Division and 14th Corps with 25th and 45th) over 30000 men against barely 2000 strong brigade. So many attackers actually aided 963rd Brigade defense because Partisan coordination was poor since they weren't given precise orders.
