SS Polizeiregiment 17.
History
Took part in last major anti-partisan operation in Suha krajina region which begun on 9 April 1945.
At the end of the war, Regiment took part in defense of Ljubljana (Laibach) together with 3rd Battalion of the 19th SS Police Regiment and four Slovenian Home Defense Battalions faced by Yugoslav Partisans 7th Slovenian Corps.
With various other units it become part of Korpsgruppe Werner von Seeler which retreated into Austria through the Loibl pass and on 11 May (that is 3 days after German unconditional surrender) attacked Yugoslav troops blocking bridge over Drava river at Ferlach in order to surrender to British troops.
