Operation DRAUFGÄNGER

(Daredevil) / (Andrijevica operation - Andrijevička operacija)

History

Aimed at the 2nd Assault Corps of Yugoslav partisans in wider area of Andrijevica from 18 to 26 July 1944 for purpose of preventing breakthrough of the Operative group of Divisions into Serbia. The 21st SS Division Skenderbeg was broken during operation while other units suffered significant casualties and German plan failed.
