Lika-Primorje operation

(Ličko-Primorska operacija)

History

Encirclement operations of the 4th Yugoslav Army from 20 March to 15 April 1945 for liberation of Bihać, Lika, Gorski Kotar and Croatian Littoral (Hrvatsko primorje). Main thrust was along direction Gornji Lapac-Bihać while secondary Udbina-Korenica-Prijeboj, in two days 4th Army has broken enemy defence liberated Bihać and eastern Lika, soon followed by western Lika and most parts of Gorski Kotar and Croatian Littoral forming new front line at Lokve-Fužine-Kraljevica ending Lika-Primorje operation and destroying German 15th Mountain Corps.
