History

Joint operation of 7th and 13th SS Mountain divisions now part of 5th SS Mountain Corps with goal of destruction of 16th Vojvodina, 17th Eastern Bosnian and 36th Vojvodina divisions of 3rd Corps NOVJ which were attempting to cross Drina river from Bosnia into Serbia under orders from Tito. Increasing partisan radio communications allowed German intelligence easily brake partisan codes and discover there plans allowing German commanders to launch attacks against potential threats.
