History
After completing operation BERGGEIST, 7th SS Division 'Prinz Eugen' was moved to Vareš in order to support operation MAIGEWITTER carried out by 34th Army Corps with purpose of preventing Yugoslav 2nd Army participating in Sarajevo operation and create bigger retreat path for 21st Mountain Corps in Sarajevo.
7th SS Division begun its advance on 28 March but before it could have posed any threat to Tuzla entire operation was canceled on 30 March by 21st Army Corps. 34th Corps attack was weakening and at the same time Yugoslav 5th Krajina Corps was advancing on Kakanj cutting off main retreat route from Sarajevo and 363rd Regiment of the 181st Division was cut off on Romanija.
