Operation SARAJEVO

Intro
Operation SARAJEVO was anti-partisan operation in area around Ivanec and Kalnik, NW Croatia from 13 to 18 May 1944.
History
Yugoslav Partisan Braća Radić Brigade captured Ivanec on 6 May 1944 blocking road Varaždin - Lepoglava. This resulted in quick reaction by staff of the 1st Infantry Regiment of the Poglavnik Bodyguard Brigades by sending combat group to recover it on the following day.
With large Partisans formations still in the area south and east of Ivanec larger operation was planed for 13 May.

Casualties
Ustasha reported one wounded during recapture of Ivanec while none during operation SARAJERVO and claimed Partisans losses at 22 killed. Also captured were three large British made land mines.
