Operation WECHSELBALG

Unternehmen Wechselbalg / Operation Changeling

Intro

First attempt to gather the harvest in Partisan controlled area was made by Operational area Velebit but this failed. Fresh operation was launched with German reinforcements. German primary goal was clearing of Prijeboj area.

History

Operation to capture northern part of Krbava filed begun on 20 August lead by 2nd Battalion of the 846th Regiment reinforced by tank company along Bunić - Debelo Brdo road.

Operation ended on 27 August with around 400 tons of wheat, potatoes and vegetables gathered.
