Raiding Support Regiment

C Battery arrived to Komiža, vis island from Bari, Italy by LCI 260 at 23:00 on 21 February 1944. One troop was deployed in island central plain in village of Podselje to serve as air defense and defended in case of airborne landing, soon shooting down Macchi fighter, unfortunately flown by Canadian pilot which was rescued by RN. Troop took part in landing on Brač carried by LCI 289.
