2nd Dalmatian Assault Brigade

(Druga Dalmatinska Udarna brigada)

History

Formed on 3 October 1942 in Uništima, Bosansko Grahovo. Fought in Dalmatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia. Distinguished itself during Fourth (Op. Weiss) and Fifth (Schwarz) offensives in crossing the Neretva river and fighting's on Gornji and Donji Barama and participates in liberation of Dubrovnik, Risna and Mostar. In final operations of JA participates in liberation of Croatian Littoral and Istra. Made Proletarian in 1944.
