11th Corps of NOVJ
(Jedanaesti korpus NOVJ)
History
Eleventh corps was formed on 30 January 1944 from the 13th Primorsko-goranska and 35th Lika divisions and units of Operative HQ for Istria. Fought in Lika, Gorski Kotar, Croatian Littoral, Pokupje and Istra. In final operations of Yugoslav army participated in liberation of Gorski Kotar, Croatian Littoral and Istria. Disbanded on 25 April 1945.
At the time of the forming corps had around 9860 soldiers in operational units and another 3500 in units of regional commands, a total of 13360. In December 1944 operational units had 11214 soldiers out of which by social status:
