15th Corps of NOVJ

History

Fifteenth corps was formed at the beginning of October 1944 with 41st, 48th and 49th Macedonian divisions. Fought in Povardaje, area of Prilep and Bitolj, between Prespan and Ohrid lakes and in western Macedonia, participated in liberation: Negotin, Kavadarca, Demir-kapija, Gradsko, Prilep, Bitolj, Resen, Ohrid, Strug, Kičevo and Gostivar. After reorganization corps was composed of 42nd and 48th division. Participated on Srem Front and in fighting's in Slavonija. Disbanded on 21 April 1945 while its divisions were reassigned under command of 1st Army.
