7th Corps of NOVJ

(Sedmi korpus NOVJ)

History

Seventh corps was formed on 3rd October 1943 from the 14th, 15th, and 18th Slovenian divisions and Partisan detachments in Dolenjsko and Notranjsko. From 7 April 1944 it also had Artillery Brigade. Corps distinguished itself during the German autumn offensive 1943 in Slovenia, in May 1944 counter-offensive of NOV, in actions against communications and in defence of liberated area in Dolenjsko and Bela krajina. In final operations of JA participated in liberation of Ljubljana region and Ljubljana.
