7th Banija Division

(Sedma banijska divizija)

History

Seventh division was formed on 22 November 1942 from 7th and 8th Banija brigades and 13th brigade Josip Kras. Fought in Banija, Kordun, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Monte Negro. During final operations participated in liberation of Lika, Kordun and parts of Slovenia. Division distinguished itself in many battles especially on Neretva and Sutjeska.
