714. Infanterie-Division
History
Together with 704th, 717th and 718th Infantry Divisions 714th is part of the first German occupation units in Yugoslavia.
In November 1942 together with NDH forces division was deployed in defense of fortified line Southwest (Jugozapad) which was breached and overrun by Yugoslav Partisan 1st Bosnian Corps once again preventing Germans from exploiting iron mine in Ljubija. This failure resulted in dismissal of division commander general Friedrich Stahl.
On 23 March 1943 division received 30 officers and 561 soldiers as replacements.In 1943 it is reformed as 114th Jäger Division.
