Operation MARS

History

After success of Operation HEUSCHOBER more ambitious operation was planed against NOVJ forces in area southwest of village Kocerina for 21st December 1944. Two reinforced battalions of the 370th Regiment of 369th Division together with NDH 9th Ustasha Brigade and Ustasha militia company managed to push parts of 13th Dalmatian Brigade of the 9th Division and 10th Herzegovina Brigade of the 29th Herzegovina Division back to line at Kocerin. At the same time 2nd battalion of 370th Regiment advanced into Buhovo.
