First Naval detachment

Formed on January 23rd 1943 in Podgora, 250 men strong, organized into 3 companies deployed in the area of TuÄepa, Podgora, Igrana. Podgora was base for fleet of First Navy detachment motor boat Partizan and fishing boat (leut) Pionir. Detachment successfully repulsed enemy attempts of landing in liberated territory of Makarska coast and attacked enemy sea traffic. It was disbanded in April and his task were taken over by Biokovo Partisan detachment and Coastal platoon.

But the partizans took other motor boats and armed launches and the assaults against Italian ships continued.
